The Homeless Man Song

He'll speak if you're willing to listen
He's quiet and wise.
He has several tattoos and a mysterious look
in his tired eyes.
I asked him, "Brother, do you ever get lonely?"
He said, "I'm made by God from dirt. What more do I need?

I'm on a journey,
Much like yourself,
Traveling to places unknown.
I think that everyone is a wanderer
Trying to find his way back home."

He has long hair and a beard
and his jeans are torn.
He tells of places he's been
which explains why his shoes are so worn.
Now he sits on the corner
and sings about life and love.
To the world he has nothing
But he swears he's been given more than enough.

He's on a journey,
Much like yourself,
Traveling to places unknown.
I think that everyone is a wanderer
Trying to find his way back home.
